A very common question that we get as a CBD production team is “what is the shelf life of CBD?” were going to discuss more on the shelf life of these products and what you can expect when you buy a CBD product online.
Like many of the products in the natural health field, CBD does have a shelf life. The shelf life for CBD will not necessarily make you sick after the product has expired. CBD products that are expired will simply lose their potency. Most products in CBD will have a shelf life between 14 to 24 months. The range here is often large depending on the way that the product is stored, the carrier oils, additives that are included in the product, and more.
Why Are Some CBD Products Longer-Lasting?
Some products have excellent storage methods in their packaging. It’s typically assumed that you are going to store your CBD product in a dry and cool environment. The humidity and heat will eventually decrease the shelf life of your products, but it’s important to avoid any type of direct sunlight on a CBD product. Exposure to light will also continue to reduce the shelf life of your CBD products.
The quality of the product can also play a role in the overall shelf life that the CBD properties will provide. With a better quality CBD product, the longer the product will last. Based on the richness of the soil and the quality of the hemp, your CBD product may last longer.
By using proper storage methods and enjoying a better quality CBD product, you can make sure that you’re going to be able to get a longer shelf life out of the CBD product that you invest in.
